Dreaming....

Of the day that I can do what I have always wanted to do

So I haven't talked about it much lately but 

Dream about it all the time.....

So everyone knows that I have a passion and love for 

refinishing, re purposing and pretty much any thing to do with 

bringing old pieces of furniture back to life.....

You may have even seen some of the pieces I made

using re purposed pallets 
(and disassembled pallets for the lumber to create)
and shipping crates.....

This is a twin bed that I transformed into a gorgeous 

one of a kind

piece of furniture

Before

I used the bones from his previous bed

I covered previous head and foot board with reclaimed pallet wood

Here is the completed bed...with the under bed storage drawers that were also recovered in reclaimed pallet wood

Karen Zach's mom pulled it all perfectly together :)

But did you know I have always wanted and still crave even just the idea that 

someday I will be able to design / create furniture

using salvaged/reclaimed timbers/wood

and incorporating concrete......

BADLYYYYY!!!!!

EVEN CREATING CUSTOM COUNTERS.....

Actually anything with concrete...

OH MAYBE SOMEDAY.....TILL THEN 

Here are some awesome ideas I found to give you an idea 

Not really sure where my love came for concrete and reclaimed lumber

I actually think its the coldness of the concrete and the warmth of the reclaimed lumber
they kind of just balance each other out
and I believe that possibly is what 

intrigues me and sparks my love for it

ALL I KNOW IS THAT 

SOMEDAY

THIS DREAM WILL BECOME 

REALITY

IT HAS TO

ITS IN MY HEART :)
